About this blog

This blog is a contribution by the students of Political Science 101, Introduction to Political Theory, at the University of Michigan in fall 2009. For more info on the class, check out its syllabus. There are two types of contributions:

  1. Short entries that link the class readings with something contemporary. They are categorized under “Political Theory In the News.”
  2. Slightly longer substantive entries in which the students tackle, explain, complain about some themes or issues that emerge in the canonical study of Western political theory.

There may be occasional contributions by the professor or the graduate instructors of the course as well.
